Finished level 4, total of 147 rooms. Damn…


This thing is absurdly large (for my standards) at this point. When running dungeons or point-crawls I consider 5-8 landmarks a full session. At that rate it would take me 21 game sessions to see everything there is so far, not including back-tracking, returns to town, or elaborate schemes. Still plenty of work to do, but I’m happy I was able to make it this far in this short amount of time. I’m hopping to begin the actual typing later today as well.

A quick run-down of level 4: the “basement” of the bunker city is a foul and overlooked area of sewage, dungeons and abandoned mine. It is a place overlooked by the denizens who prefer to look at the city with a utopia-tinted view, ignoring the dirty and foul work required to keep the place running. Due to this reputation, trouble and danger has flourished deep in the dark: the sewage treatment area is overflowing, only kept from failing entirely by the dedication of a crazed and dangerous Summer Cultist and their army of hommunculi; the mines, abandoned long ago, are infested with a strange life-form from deep within the earth; the dungeons meant to house “unproductive” citizens have been co-opted by the jaded court wizards and are now filled with all manner of cruel experiments; and finally the gas line room, the room that pumps natural gas to power the entire city is filled with flammable gas and in dire need of repair. In blunt terms: the place is a shit-show, a dangerous shit-show.

End of night thoughts – Started actually typing and laying out the rooms in Affinity Publisher. This is exciting but will write more on it later. Also had to look up the weight of bronze in the context of a sculpture, so that was interesting...
