Preview, Release, GenCon, and My Latin is Not Good

Howdy, just a couple of updates of varying size and substance including a final change to the name. Special thanks to reddit user Evandro_Novel for correcting my Latin and saving me from a mistake that would have haunted me for years.

Level 1 Preview

I'll cut straight to the chase: I've uploaded a preview of the first level of Ave Noctis Nox.

The smallest of the levels, totaling 18 rooms (almost) fully illustrated and still in need of edits but I wanted to show off what the book will look like once it's complete.

Speaking of which:

Release Date and Crowdfunding

Officially, Ave Nox will be crowdfunding this December 2023 and tentatively ship/release the first quarter of 2024.

As much as I would LIKE to do a plain release and pre-order like Vast in the Dark - Expanded, Ave Nox will be clocking in at 150-200 pages with smyth-sewn binding, something I'll (unfortunately) need a little extra cash in order to get printed.

GenCon Anyone?

For the first time since pre-pandemic, Feral Indie Studio will be riding to GenCon Indianapolis!

Meet us at the Wet Ink Games booth 560 and grab a zine, check out some art, or chat about games.

That's all for now, I'll be going a bit silent after this con to focus on Ave Nox, but I'll continue posting previews here and on various social media sites as they get completed.

See you in December and don't forget to check out the preview!

I missed all the previous posts on this project and just received an update... looks awesome. Dungeon, a menacing threat that could destroy everything big time and lots of strange / deranged stuff to explore. What s not to love ?

Looks amazing! Looking forward to supporting it and then playing it.

Very intrested in the kickstarter, sad to hear it isnt coming out sooner my group is excited for me to run it.

Thank you for crediting my observation about the name! Maybe you can rename the preview PDF file as well (it might cause some confusion)?

Honestly, the creation illustration is so amazing that I am sorry to see much of it obscured by a text box. Your art is great!
