The first update (and fixes...)

Hello hello and welcome the first devlog for Vyrmhack!

I want to give a short thank-you to everyone who grabbed a copy and spread the word, grateful for the support and especially grateful for it happening on such short notice. This was a fun, weird little game that I've been batting around for a while now and been meaning to do some evocative artwork for.

Glad for the support, happy to keep working.

More Vyrm?

Short answer: Yes.

I've mentioned on socials that have future plans for Vyrmhack. Unfortunately for the time being my attention is required elsewhere (got bills to pay, mouths to feed, and a megadungeon to finish).

That being said, I've set up a goal on the itch page that, if we hit, means I can get to work on a setting or scenario book.

New Stuff:

Character sheets - Some character sheets have been added for everyone to use!

Fixed Stuff:

Fixed broken print spreads - Thank you to Isaac Wilcox for pointing out the print spreads were a broken PDF; fixed and should work now.

SRD has been changed from HTML to PDF (sorry HTML...) - Look, I really REALLY want to be able to make HTML accessible versions of my work for a lot of complicated, nit-picky, and ethical reasons that I don't have the time to get into. However, until I can find a way to easily format my stuff and NOT have it look like dogs**t I gotta stick with PDF. If anyone has a solution for getting it into an HTML format, let me know I'm happy to trade for artwork.

Hey, just so you know, on page 4 in the Boons section under 3-4 all three boons have "1-2" instead of "3-4" and "5-6".

What program/file format do you initially write the SRD in that you were trying to convert to HTML?

Amazing, looking forward to getting this printed out :)

Have you considered Markup? its renders as HTML so that makes it easy to parse and style. Also it has a robust ecosystem of various tools to make working with it even easier.

I'm really excited for the mega-dungeon. Vrym Hack is a great proof of concept and I am always happy to support small creators in TTRPG or War game scene. I feel that a possible kick-starter down the lane would be really interesting to see. I get a really cool dark souls meets folk horror vibe from the setting. I don't know if you have heard of Forbidden Psalm for Mork Borg, but that would be a really great game to look at for game-play inspiration. I think that a cool way to differentiate the two would be to have characters a base given to them by a lord or otherwise as well as have the lords effect the world in negative ways. Anyways hope to see another update for the mega dungeon soon, take your time and enjoy the success :D.
